Inspiring Health Videos and Stories from Around the World!
AmeriSciences and Project 10
Project 10’s mission is to improve health, education, shelter and the environment with direct, effective and sustainable actions. Project 10 is tackling deforestation head on with reforestation and education programs to redirect the mindset of local populations towards conservation. By planting trees that local populations can utilize without destroying (such as those that produce the Cupuaçu and Açai fruit) we can reforest the region with an assurance of sustainability.
This project is already reforesting the Amazon with the aid of AmeriSciences. AmeriSciences has pledged a portion of the proceeds from every sale of its nutritional beverage, AS10. This “A tree for every case” program will provide Project 10 the resources to reforest large tracts of deforested land and bring hope to the local population.

Knowing How to Nurture Ourselves
Stephan Fayon, director of an international seed bank in Auroville, India, explains how preserving the diversity of seeds insures against the breakdown of large-scale industrial agriculture. Stephan is an agriculture and organic farming expert who directs Kokopelli India, an international seed savers association based in Auroville, South India. A resident of Auroville for the past twelve years, he directs several reforestation programs and runs a tree farm. He has planted 250,000 trees over the past ten years.

"Each civilization was based on agriculture and collapsed at a certain time in history. They collapsed because their environment collapsed, because there was no more arable land, because they cut all the forest around. And somewhere, now in the 21st century the same thing is happening but on a larger scale"
